Changes to make in the schools curriculum: Improvements to make

Despite being important, the school's curriculum is outdated.
The time kids should learn about cloud storage, they are learning about Excel. Excel is not useless, it has just been replaced by cloud storage.
It’s also not bad learning about things like Excel, but it’s good in a limit and better not to spend 3 years on a topic that takes 1 or 2 weeks maximum to learn.
But think about it, what benefit will we get from learning a topic that went outdated a few years ago.
Today after a bit of research and a lot of thinking, I am going to introduce a few changes we can make in the school's curriculum, to make it a bit better.

Updating The Curriculum:

1. Update the books to fit the current times:

The currents books are very much outdated. As I mentioned before, this is the time to learn about cloud storage, we are learning about Exel.

2. Introduce skills into the Curriculum:

The weakest part of our curriculum, I feel, is the lack of skills.

Like not even the basic, essay writings are conducted these days, which if introduced, would change the students a lot.

Introduction To Pedagogy:

1. Divide the classes into 2 days online focusing on skills and

3 days offline focusing on curriculum:

Rather than having a 5 day just studies, we can change the classes to 3 day offline studies classes and 2 day online skills classes.

2. Take extra classes on Saturdays for writing competitions or maybe even speaking competitions:

Make sure that the classes are not compulsory. So that when some students do come, we know which ones want to learn.

But do make the first extra class compulsory and remember that the classes are for fun and learning. So don't put a lot of burden on the students.

Technology:

1. Use normal books from grade 1 to 5 then introduce kindle:

Introducing kindle rather than books would have a lot of benefits.

It saves space since it's just a small tablet with so many books, it saves money since kindle is a one-time investment.

It saves time as you don't have to spend 15 minutes looking in your bag for the right book.

And since students from grades 1-5 are too young to use kindle, it's best to introduce it from grade 5th.

2. Introduce students to programming languages:

Programming languages is one of the most important skills after reading, writing and speaking.

It enhances your problem-solving skills and makes you think a lot. So I would recommend starting introducing programming languages.

Sports:

Introduce students to all the sports from grade 1 to 5 then let them choose which sport interests them:

Sports are really important for everyone. It makes you feel fresh, it makes you fit and you just feel good about yourself.

But since most young kids are not suggested to make decisions, let the kids play all sports from grade 1 to 5, and then let them choose what interests them.

But make sure, if a child feels like they don't like the game anymore, they can change to another one.

Conclusion:

Even though making these changes will be hard, they are very much needed.

From curriculum to pedagogy, introducing these changes will change a lot.

It will make students like school and make things easier for the teachers!

And when both, the teachers and students will be happy and satisfied, the school will be able to run much more smoother.
